Thanks to his idyllic setting, the nearby lake Gosau and the mighty Dachstein are true wonders of nature, held in high esteem by painters, photographers and hikers. Beautiful walking and hiking trails lead directly from our house to the lake and to picturesque mountain pastures. In the summertime, the nearby Gosaukamm cableway takes you directly to the heart of mount Dachstein.

Youth Hostel Gosauschmied

Our youth hostel Gosauschmied is greeting you in Hintertal, a beautiful central spot in Gosau, 500 metres from ski ressort Dachstein West. The restaurant on the opposite side of the streets features a large terrace. Our chef delights his guests with regional and international cuisine. The unpretentiously furnished rooms each have their own bathroom and toilet.

The free ski bus is stopping right in front of the main entrance. Enjoy climbing at the fixed-rope route Schmiedsteig (500 metres away).

Der kostenlose Skibus hält direkt vor der Pension. Klettern können Sie auf dem 500 m entfernten Schmiedsteig. Langlaufloipen verlaufen direkt vor dem Haus. In winter, cross-country ski trails are located right next to the guesthouse.
